News September 18, 2003 - Steven attended the "Scarface" Re-Release Premiere last night with Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Robert Loggia. September 11, 2003 - Steven is scheduled to attend the Re-Release Premiere of "Scarface" at City Cinemas Theatres in New York City on September 17th. Go here for more details. August 21, 2003 - To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of "Scarface", Universal Studios will release two DVDs, "Scarface Two-Disc Anniversary Edition" and "Scarface Deluxe Gift Set", on September 30th. For more details, go here. August 14, 2003 - The Official Website for "Nola" is up and running. Writer/Director Alan Hruska says "And Steven Bauer was a gift from the gods. Who knew that Scarface's best buddy could sing?" According to Jill Footlick (Producer), casting Steven Bauer as a "good guy" against the type of the sort of roles he'd played in "Traffic" and "Scarface" immediately appealed to the production team. When they learned what a good guy he really was - and that he could sing! - the choice, says Footlick, "was real easy". "Masked and Anonymous" debuts in New York on July 24th and in Los Angeles on July 25th. July 13, 2003 - The official site for "Masked and Anonymous" has added a photo and a brief audio clip of STEVEN BAUER from the movie. June 19, 2003 - The "Masked and Anonymous" trailer contains two brief shots of STEVEN BAUER. May 9, 2003 - "Nola" premiered last night at the Tribeca Film Festival. No reviews yet, but New York-based Firework Pictures announced that it will release the movie by attorney Alan Hruska (tentatively scheduled date of release is August 29th). The movie will feature several original songs performed by stars Emmy Rossum and STEVEN BAUER. April 25, 2003 - Tickets for screenings and other events at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York go on sale to the public April 27. April 6, 2003 - "Nola", an independent film written and directed by Alan Hruska, will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The festival runs from May 3-11. April 5, 2003 - "Drug Wars: The Camarena Story", the 1990 Emmy Award-winning television mini-series produced by Michael Mann and starring STEVEN BAUER, Treat Williams, Craig Stevens and Benicio del Toro will be released on DVD on April 22nd. The movie stars Jeff Bridges, Penelope Cruz, John Goodman, Jessica Lange and Luke Wilson with an impressive array of stars in small or cameo roles including STEVEN BAUER. For more details, check out the official site . STEVEN BAUER stars in an independent film, titled "Nola", which completed shooting in New York last Spring. It was written and directed by Alan Hruska (in his directorial debut). The movie also stars Mary McConnell "Dances with Wolves" and teenager Emmy Rossum in the title role. This film has been released on DVD overseas; however, there has been no word yet regarding a U.S. release. |
